I searched for 50 images of Jesus, according to the following criteria: face only, frontal, preferably expressionless and photorealistical. I filtered the pictures coming up for terms "Jesus, Christ, frontal, face" based on the above criteria. There were reconstructions, paintings, photography, realistic and idealized images. Naturally, I found by far the most of the latter.
Photoshop has a feature (Layer Stack - Median) that photographers use when people walking around (e.g. tourists) block out a motionless subject (building, sculpture, monument, etc.). If you are taking multiple images, this Median filter will leave only the constant pixels, filtering out the variables. So, the building remains, but the people disappear. To give the best results this requires a lot of photos, optimally enough to show every detail of the subject, at least once.
I stacked the 50 collected images in Photoshop and transformed them so that the eyes are in the same place. I then applied the Median filter, which left only the constant pixels.
